Hittin' The Green
So I have an official new favorite hobby... golf!
On the morning of the fourth E and I went to the driving range and, even though we weren't the best out there, we had so much fun!
Isn't he cute?!
Being a girl, I had a little fun online shopping for my fantasy golf outfit. Hey, a girl can dream right?
And some pearl earrings because they're my favorite accessory.
And last but not least, the perfect golf accessory, super cute pink golf balls!
(Yep, I'm a total sorority girl sometimes.)
We've also gone to a baseball game and to read our books on the bank by the river, we love summer!
I hope you're enjoying this time of year too!

A (Want) To Do List...
So I'm at that point in the summer when I have finally caught back up on my sleep but I now I'm not exactly sure what to do with myself when I'm not spending all my time studying or doing other dietetics related things. So I'm trying to think of some FUN things to do this summer. I'm hoping to get a nanny job three days a week (fingers crossed!) and I am starting to work on work for my residency and studying for the Registered Dietitian exam I will be taking this time next year (sounds like a super fun test, right?) But I'm trying to think of a few other things to do with my time and I would love some help/tips/ideas!
So far this summer I've accomplished a few things I had on my list like hiking Table Rock and I had a girly night with my ladies tonight, which was great. Here are a few more things I have on my list (besides what I talked about above and some lovely weddings we will be celebrating this summer...)
However, since E has a fear of heights, this one might have to be put on the back-burner until I can convince someone else to go with me.

- Hike Bogus Basin
- Learn to Golf
- Finish my Italy/Germany Scrapbook
- Feed the Giraffes at the Zoo
- Go to a Hawks Baseball Game
- See a Movie at the Drive-In
- Visit the Blue Turf my Beloved BSU Broncos Play On and Get Loads of BSU gear
- Take Time to Smell the Roses at Julia Davis Park
However, since E has a fear of heights, this one might have to be put on the back-burner until I can convince someone else to go with me.
I love my list so far, but I plan on being busy this summer and soaking up this town I moved back to! What are your ideas???

Pink and Navy and Green, Oh My!
So here is the color scheme I'm thinking of for my new room (or my new "studio apartment" as my Mom calls it.) What do you think???
Here are some of my other ideas/inspirations...
This adorable inspiration board is from The Perfect Palette.
Find this cute decoration idea here.
Snatch this cute poster here.
These cute knobs are from Anthropologie and the photo credit goes to this blog.
And lastly, this cute pearly decoration from Ms. Martha Stewart!
I also have a navy loveseat, a lovely green quilt and a fresh coat of paint waiting to help me with my decorating. I also want to do some major organization of my desk area, but that is still in the works. What do you think? I would love some tips and tricks to decorating!

Songs So Sweet
I heard this song today by Jason Mraz called I won't give up, and I thought it was just so cute, it has a nice melody and an even sweeter message. I even suggested it to my good friend for her wedding in August! Then later tonight, I went with my Mom to a Christian Comedy show and the opening act was a singer who talked about his relationship with his wife. He talked about how one night he and his wife had decided to get a divorce during a fight. However, after the fight they talked about things they wanted to fight FOR instead of things they were fighting ABOUT and now four years have passed and they have two babies together! In one song he played tonight he asked God to send angels to guard the doors of their home to keep them from leaving each other and their family, I just thought that was so sweet. I love LOVE, it is so sweet and such a blessing.
Here we are at the comedy show with one of my grandmas and our friend from church.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful mother! After everything she has always done for me, today she helped me move back into my room at home, what a lady! (And don't worry, I promised to make it up to her this week/weekend and we already have a few really fun things planned, but more on that later...) I love you so much, you're the most amazing woman I know!!!
"Mom, I love you for all the times you picked me up when I was down. For all the times you traded your warm smile for my frown. For all the times you brushed my hair and tucked me into bed... or needed something for yourself and put me first instead. For all the dreams that we have shared, the tears and laughter too. I love you Mom with all my heart, there's no one quite like you!" -Unknown
Also, a very happy Mother's Day to my three beautiful grandmother's and my amazing great-grandmother! I love you all so much and I'm sorry we didn't get to celebrate your special day(s) today!

Happy Summer!!! (Finally!)
I can't believe it's finally here! After an intense year of classes and all that goes along with dietetics, I am finally done with school!
Now I'm moving back home to Boise, I'm elated that summer is here and then I start my internship/residency back at home in the fall! I'm so excited!
Also, I just love this picture, it doesn't get much more summery than that :)

Well hello dietetic placement!
It finally happened, today is the day! I received the email containing my future for next year, and it's great news! I get to move home! My placement will be at the St. Alphonsus hospital in Ontario, Oregon (less than an hour from my house) for Spring next year. This also means my fall placement will be in Boise! I'm beyond excited and I can't wait to move home PERMANENTLY in just one week! It still hasn't completely sunk in yet but I am so happy. This also means that I will get to be near my wonderful family again and that E and I FINALLY won't have to do long distance anymore! I'M SO EXCITED!
P.S. I'm sorry I haven't been posting much this week, I'm actually at the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetic Conference in Sun Valley, so please forgive me! I'll post when I can as I finish here and get done with my finals

Delta Zeta Love
Today is my last Delta Zeta Chapter meeting and our senior ceremony, so crazy! And, coincidentally, the anniversary of my (and the first pledge class of Delta Zeta- Pi Kappa Chapter) initiation. And goodness it has been a great year! Just yesterday we did our first major philanthropy event to benefit the Painted Turtle Camp, where I will actually be a camp counselor for a week in July! Here are some fun pictures of the first part of my DZ adventure!

It's crazy to think my time as an active member has gone so quickly but I'm excited to move to alumnae status soon! Maybe we can get some women together to form an alumnae chapter in Boise.
(post-residency project? I think so!)
Also, E has promised to take me to the Delta Zeta Museum in Oxford, Ohio at some point in our lives, and I won't let him forget!
For today, I'll be enjoying my last two weeks as a Delta Zeta active member and I can't wait to wear my beautiful badge at chapter (it may be quite a few months before I get to wear it again! Hurry quickly Founders' Day and National Badge Day!)

Friday!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
I had a great first night of Delta Zeta Senior Week last night and I'm excited for the merriment to continue tonight, tomorrow and Sunday!
I will also be doing quite a bit of homework this weekend, along with all the fun. I have a giant nutrition care plan (NCP) project I'm working on this weekend. However, it is only one of a few assignments I have left before school is OVER! (And then finals, of course.)
You see why I needed a happy girl with balloons for this blog post? I need some cheer in my life with this much to finish :)

Swilly's
Photos via My Pullman Paradise
My Mom and I went to a lovely little restaurant over Moms' Weekend called Swilly's. We decided to escape the madness of Moscow during Moms' Weekend and we crossed state lines and headed (the entire 8 miles) to Pullman Washington. It had the cutest little atmosphere and our food was AMAZING! We had a salad (with real lettuce, none of that silly iceberg stuff) with feta, pecans and a yummy balsamic dressing. Our main dish was pasta with chicken and a gorgonzola cheese sauce, mmmm! Even after splitting I have leftovers that I am eating tonight (I'm also adding some steamed broccoli because it seemed like the perfect compliment. So, the moral of the story is, if you're in the Pullman/Washington State University area swing by Swilly's! (And no, I'm not being payed for this, it was just really that good!)
And here is my beautiful Momma enjoying our yummy pasta :)

One World
It was a beautiful day outside, but of course since I have less than 3 weeks left of school, I had homework. So I took the time to enjoy walking over to one of my favorite coffee shops, One World, and worked on my research proposal. They have huge windows so it a great place to do homework when it's sunny outside. I also got an italian soda with blueberry flavor and it was soooo yummy!
And the news for today is that I did get my FINAL research proposal turned in today, yay!
xoxo Cassi
P.S. I made some formatting changes to my blog today, so if you checked during the time I was doing that, I'm really sorry! It looked like a 3-year-old was working on my blog for a few hours, so I'm sorry if you had to witness the insanity!

SuperMOM
I had the best week/weekend with my Mom and I can't believe how quickly it flew by. We had such a wonderful time and I can't believe it's our last Moms' Weekend! We went shopping, had great food, spent time enjoying the beautiful weather and had late nights of girl talk. I'm sad our time went so fast but I'm excited to be home in just a few short weeks!
This is at my University's arboretum. We had a great time walking and enjoying the plants that were blooming. We also saw a bunch of turtles! (The Delta Zeta mascot, which was pretty exciting!)
And this is us at the sorority breakfast, mmmmm!
And here we are at our very first Moms' Weekend when I was still at Oregon State University. Every year the school had a craft fair that we loved (and still miss!) and that is where this picture was taken.
Thanks for the wonderful weekend Mom! I love you!
xoxo Cassi
P.S. Maybe they have a Moms' Weekend for grad school??? (sometime down the road ha ha.)

Momma Mia!
Happy Moms' Weekend!
For school, it is Moms' Weekend this weekend, my last EVER and my Mom and I are loving every second of it. My Mom is my best friend and it is so nice getting to spend this time doing our girly things. On Tuesday I went to get her from the airport in Spokane then we stayed the night and went shopping on Wednesday. It was so fun and great to get her opinion on shopping. As you may remember, I've been on a the hunt for professional clothing. My Mom is a manager at her company and she does the interviews so she is a wealth of knowledge in that area. (We also got some cute summer things and something to wear to my sorority brunch on Saturday.)
Tonight we had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants up here, Sangria Grill, and it was so yummy! We have lots of fun things planned on our own and with the sorority so I will have many more updates coming very soon!
I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately and I have to admit that I probably won't post much for the rest of the weekend so I can enjoy all my wonderful time with her.

La la la
So this is just a little random post because I just had a few fun tidbits to share.
First, this was the Google image from yesterday and I really loved it for some reason. Also, it has a little baby dachshund on a cart and it broke my heart a little but I love it at the same time because now he's movin and shakin!
Second, the picture inspired me to watch Julie and Julia today (and by watch I mean listen to in the background while I worked on my mountain of homework.)
The end!

Faith
I have a lot weighing on me right now as I finish the semester. School work and the pressure of where my placement will be have been making me much more anxious than I ever like to be. A few years ago my Mom got me a book of scriptures that are organized by emotions/circumstances and I've been reading through it a lot more lately. These scriptures have been great and I wanted to share. If you're looking for some relief and peace, I hope they help you too.
