Today we decided to go buy all the things we have been gawking over the whole trip. I got a real Italian leather purse and Eric got a captain’s hat. We went back to Piazza de San Marco to walk around because not only is it an amazing place to be but the walk there is really fun too. We sat by the water for a bit today and that was nice and breezy. We are taking a break to eat lunch and cool of right now but later we are going to get dinner or maybe dessert in the square. There are these restaurants with a lot of seating outside and they have live music with pianos and violins that looked fun last night. Tomorrow we take the train to Rome and maybe we will have internet there (hopefully) but if now I will post when I get to my apartment in Florence. My program starts on the 13th and I believe we get to Florence on the 16th and move-in then.
Right now I’m off to hunt for a mask! They have these beautifully decorated masks that they use for their festival but there are too many choices and I just keep looking and say I’ll come back but now it is decision time because we leave soon! I posted a few pictures but I will post more later when I have more than an hour to use the internet. Hopefully I will get to post soon but for now, ciao!
